Abstract
Objective: To explore the MRI manifestations and clinicopathologic characteristics of the primary lymphoma in the soft tissue. Methods: The clinicopathological data and MRI manifestations of two cases of primary tissue lymphoma were analyzed retrospectively, and the literature was reviewed. Results: The 2 cases of primary soft tissue lymphoma were both located in the lower extremity. One was well demarcated and the other was ill-defined. The dimension of the tumors ranged from 7 to 12 cm,with intense or slightly low signal intensity on T1-weighted images and high signal intensity on T2-weighted images. The tumors were mild to moderate enhanced after contrast-enhanced scans. Conclusions: Primary lymphoma in the soft tissue is rarely seen. The MRI manifest even signals, and cystis degeneration and necrosis are seldom observed; the existence of fatty clearance between muscle fascias is one of its characteristics.
