The clinical application of thoracoscope in radical operation of lung cancer

Objective:To explore the clinical value of video-assisted thoracoscopic sugery(VATS) in the treatment of lung carcer. Methods:Among 21 patients with radical operation of lung cancer,right-upper lung cancer in 6 cases,right-middle lung cancer in 2 cases,right-low lung cancer in 4 cases; left-upper lung cancer in 5 cases and left-low lung cancer in 4 cases were found.The lymph nodes in hilus pulmonis and mediastinum of all patients were cleaned.Results:None was thoracotomy,the operation time was 90 to 250 minutes,the utes intraoperative blood loss was 50 to 600 ml and the closed drainage time was 2 to 4 days.Twenty-one patients lived after following up for 2 to 36 months.The recurrence and metastasis were not found by CT and ECT at 3,6 and 12 months after operation.Conclusions:VATS in the treatment of lung carcer is reliable,safe,fast recovering and less bleeding,but a little expensive.
