    Optimizing undergraduate nursing curriculum

    • Objective:To optimize the undergraduate nursing curriculum in China on the basis of literature analysis.Methods:The study adopted literature analysis,comparative analysis and expert consultation(Delphi method) to optimize the undergraduate nursing educational objectives and the curriculum in China.Results:The total recognition rate of the results is 100%; there are no curriculums meeting the removing standards,while 8 courses are added.The coefficient of variation is less than 0.15,and the expert opinion coordination coefficient is 0.428,explaining that experts opinions are of high coordination.The undergraduate nursing curriculum is finally ascertained to consist five curriculum plates including 46 courses.Conclusions:The occupation ethics,cultural diversity,cross cultural nursing,nursing psychology,nursing prescriber and nursing nutrition are added to the undergraduate nursing curriculum,which makes up the shortage of the current curriculum for nursing students in china and meets the comprehensive training course demand.
