Transrectal ultrasound in diagnosis of gynecologic disease JING Hong-

Objective: To explore the value of transrectal ultrasound in diagnosis of gynecologic diseases. Methods: Fifty-three cases were detected for gynecologic diseases by transabdominal ultrasound and transrectal ultrasound; the results were compared with those by clinical examinations. Results: The coincidence rate of the transabdominal ultrasound was 60. 38%，and the coincidence rate of the transrectal ultrasound was 92. 45%. Conclusions: The coincidence rate of the transrectal ultrasound is higher than that of the transabdominal ultrasound. Therefore， for cases not suitable for transvaginal ultrasound， transrectal ultrasound is recommended.
