Transurethral electrovaporization ablation of prostate: An analysis of 500 cases

Objective: To evaluate the clinical effect of transurethral electrovaporization ablation of prostate(TUEVAP) on the 500 cases.Methods: Four hundred ninety cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia and 10 cases of prostate cacinoma were treated with TUEVAP.Results: The mean weight of resected tissue was 58.2 g,and the mean operative time was 50 minutes.After the operation,Qmax,the international prostate sign score,quantity of life and residual urine of the cases were significantly improved(P<0.01).Conclusions: It is certain that benign prostatic hyperplasia is operated BPH with TUEVAP can get safe and effective medical results,leaving fewer complications.
