Analysis of cardiac troponin in the diagnosis of brain-heart syndrome in acute cerebrovascular disease

    • Objective:To investigate the value of cardiac troponin (CTn-Ⅰ) in the diagnosis of brain-heart syndrome in acute cerebrovascular disease. Methods:The venous blood of 232 subjects were taken within 12 h after hospitalization, and the levels of CTn-Ⅰ,creatine kinase (CK),creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB),lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and alanine transaminase (AST) were detected repeatedly every 24-48 h for 2-9 times. Results:In these subjects, the results showed if the level of CTn-Ⅰ was increased, the levels of CK,CK-MB,LDH and AST were all increased at the same time.Although in partial subjects, the levels of CK,CK-MB,AST,LDH were increased, but CTn-Ⅰ remained normal.Elderly severe subjects with hypertension often had high occurence for abnormal CTn-Ⅰ,which was related to prognosis, but not associated with characteristic of lesions.Conclusions:CTn-Ⅰ is more sensitive for diagnosis of brain-heart syndrome in contrast to CK,CK-MB,LDH and AST.And elderly severe subjects with hypertension are easy to have brain-heart syndrome, which is not associated with characteristic of lesions.
