Transurethral electrovaporization for treatment of superficial bladder cancer in 31 patients

Objective: To investigate the curative effects of transurethral electrovaporization in treatment of superficial bladder tumor(TUVBT).Methods: TUVBT was performed in thirty-one patients with superficial bladder carcinoma.Results: The tumor was resected once for thirty patients.The multiple tumors were resected twice in one patient.Thirty-one patients were followed up for 1 month to 24 months.Recurrence occurred in eight patients with the recurrent rate at 25.8%.Conclusions: TUVBT have many advantages such as simple operation,less invasiveness,less blood loss,faster recovery and good curative effects.
