Abstract
Objective: To find a simple, effective and aesthetic method for the treatment of cutaneous hemangioma in children. Methods: One hundred and twenty children with cutaneous proliferating hemangioma were randomly divided into two groups.Sixty children were treated with intralesional bleomycin A5 hydrochloride injection(1 mg/ml)while 60 children were treated with intralesional triamcinolone acetonide acetate injections(10 mg/ml).The treatment outcome and complications were observed. Results: The cure rate and response rate in the bleomycin group were significantly higher than that of triamcinolone groups(P<0.005).The side effects were different, but not statistically significant. Conclusions: Intralesional bleomycin for the treatment of cutaneous hemangioma in children is very effective, simple and safe.It is better than intralesional triamcinolone acetonide and should be recommended.
