Abstract
Objective: To investigate the infection rate of human papillomavirus(HPV),its genotype and age characteristics among women in Chuzhou area. Methods: Twenty-three genotypes in cervical secretion or castoff cells in 2 554 women from Chuzhou area were detected using PCR-reverse dot blot. Results: Among 2 554 patients,557 cases with positive HPV infection were detected, the infection rate of which was 21.81%,and the 82 genotype was not detected. The single infection, dual infection and more than triple infection rates of HPV were 16.33%,3.92% and 1.57%,respectively.HPV16,58 and 52 were the most prevalent types in the positive cases with high risk genotype,HPV43 and 81 were the most prevalent types in the positive cases with low risk genotype.Among 23 genotypes, the infection rates of HPV16,58,43,52 and 81 were the first five in turn. The peak age of infection was mainly distributed in 19 to 30 years old women. The infection rates of HPV16 and HPV16 mixed with other subtypes were 3.99% and 1.61%,respectively.The peak ages of the infection of HPV16,single infection and more than triple infection of HPV,and dual infection were 61 to 70,19 to 30 and 51 to 60 years old. Conclusions: The HPV16,58 and 43 in HPV infection among women from Chuzhou area are the mainly popular subtypes, the HPV infection is on the rise, and the age of onset tends to be younger.
