The protective effects of naofuling on local cerebral ischemia in rats

Objective: To investigate the protective effects of NFL on local cerebral ischemia in rats.Methods: The local cerebral ischemia in rat was made by electricity cogulation block middle cerebral artery.To observe the effects of NFL on neurobehavioral disorders,the infarct weight of brain was determined by NBT stain,the superoxide dismutase(SOD) activities and the contents of malondialdehyde(MDA).Results: NFL improved differently the abnormal nervous symptoms and decreased significantly the infarct weight of brain.It increased the SOD activity and reduced contents of MDA.Conclusions: NFL has protective effects against local cerebral ischemia in rats.
