Clinical efficacy of Bushen Huayu Lishui decotion on diabetic nephropathy:Report of 56 cases

Objective:To observe the effect of Bushen Huayu Lishui decoction in treatment of diabetic nephropathy.Methods:Fifty-six subjects were randomized into two groups.The control group were administered routine therapy to control the blood sugar,while the treatment group received Bushen Huayu Lishui decoction in addition to the routine therapy.The results between the two groups were compared and analyzed one month after treatment.Results:The effect was obviously better in the treatment group than in the control group.The difference was significant (P<0.01).The fasting plasma glucose,the fixed quantity of 24 h urine protein and plasma lipoprotein improved obviously (P<0.01).Conclusions:Bushen Huayu Lishui decoction can greatly improve the renal function of patients with diabetic nephropathy.
