Combination therapy of intravenous gamma globulin,dopamine and dobutamine for infants and children with severe pneumonia

Objective: To evaluate the clinical effect of gamma globulin,dopamine and dobutamine combined in the treatment of infants and children with severe pneumonia.Methods: Sixty patients with severe pneumonia were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.All the patients were administered antibiotics,anti-virus,oxygen,suction,cardiac,diuretic,maintaining acid-base and electrolyte equilibrium.In addition to the conventional therapy,the treatment group were given intravenous gamma globulin 300-500 mg·kg^-1·d^-1 for 3 days,dopamine and dobutamine 3-5 μg·kg^-1·min^-1 with 5% glucose by infusion pumps for 2-3 days.Results: The response rate of treatment group was superior to that of control group (P<0.01).Conclusions: The combination therapy of gamma globulin,dopamine and dobutamine may improve the curative effect on patients with severe pneumonia.
