Abstract
Objective: To study the effect of repositioning zygomatic complex fractures with internal fixation. Methods: Twenty-four patients with zygomatic complex fractures were approached with coronal incision, marginal incision of the eyelid and oral vestibular mucous incision to expose and reposition the dislocated zygomatic complex, and fixed with micro titanium plates at interior orbital rim, at zygo-maxillary suture and zygo-frontal suture, which was a 3-Dimensional fixation to offer the steady of the fractures. Results: Twenty-four patients recovered well from their facial deformities and ophthalmic dysfunctions. No obvious dislocation occurred again. Conclusions: It is an ideal method to treat zygomatic complex fractures with internal fixaton, especially the old fractures and complex fractures.
