Abstract
Objective: To explore the relationship between lupus nephritis(LN) and the anticardiolipin antibodies(ACA).Methods: The ACA in 190 patients with light or severe damage in the kidney and 90 healthy volunteers was detected and compared. Results: The ACA positive rate in patients with LN was higher(81.6%) than that in the healthy controls(1.1%).The ACA positive rate in the patients with severe damage in the kidney was higher(92.0%) than that in the patients with light damage in the kidney(70.0%)(P<0.01).The difference was significant(P<0.01).Conclusions: The examination of ACA provides an important clue to clinical diagnosis of LN.ACA is an index in supervising the state of LN patients. It is of some value for clinical treatment of LN.
