Comparison for two different surgical methods for one-stage hypospadias repair

Objective: To comparitively evaluate the pedicled transverse preputial flap and scrotal septal vascular pedicle flap for one-stage hypospadias repair.Methods: Sixty cases of hypospadias were divided randomly into two groups.Group A including 30 cases were treated with pedicled transverse preputial flap;Group B including 30 cases were treated with scrotal septal vascular pedicle flap.The efficiency of surgery was compared between the two groups.Results: The cure rate was higher in group A than that in group B(P<0.05).Conclusions: The operation with pedicled transverse preputial flap is an efective method for hypospadias repair.
