Retroperitoneal laparoscopic resection of adrenal tumor: report of 28 cases

Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of retroperitoneal laparoscopy in resection of the adrenal tumor.Methods: Twenty eight patients with adrenal tumors underwent retroperitoneal laparoscopic surgery.Results: Retroperitoneal laparoscopic surgery was successfully applied to all the 28 cases.The operation time was 60-160 min;the intra-operative blood loss was 50-100 ml;and the postoperative hospitalization was 4-7 days.No serious complication occurred during the operation and follow-up period.Conclusions: Retroperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy is safe and reliable.It has a promising future in urologic practice.
