The application value of "Internet+" health management model in elderly patients with chronic atrophic gastritis from the perspective of dominance theory

    • Objective To explore the application effects of "Internet+" health management model in elderly patients with chronic atrophic gastritis from the perspective of dominance theory.
Methods Sixty elderly patients with chronic atrophic gastritis were selected, and randomly divided into the control group and observation group (30 cases each group). The control group were implemented using the traditional health management model, while the observation group were implemented using the "Internet+" health management model under the theory of the dominant perspective. The self-efficacy of chronic disease management, gastrointestinal symptoms, use of advantageous knowledge, psychological resilience and satisfaction between two groups were compared.
Results After 8 weeks of intervention, the levels of chronic disease self-efficacy, advantageous knowledge use and psychological resilience in the observation group were significantly higher than those in control group (P < 0.01), and the gastrointestinal symptom score was significantly lower than that in control group (P < 0.01). The satisfaction rate in the observation group was 93.33% (28/30), which was significantly higher than that of control group (73.33%, 22/30) (P < 0.05). The results of multiple linear regression model showed that, after excluding confounding factors, the "Internet+" health management model from the dominant perspective was an independent influencing factor of improving patient satisfaction, psychological resilience level, dominant knowledge use and chronic disease self-efficacy (P < 0.01).
Conclusions The implementation of the "Internet+" health management model under the advantage perspective theory for elderly patients with chronic atrophic gastritis can promote patients to find and use their own advantages, improve self-efficacy, improve the level of patients' psychological resilience, thereby improving the ability of disease self-management, promoting disease recovery and improving the quality of life.
