Abstract
Objective:To analyze the relationship between the pathologic factors of traumatic cerebral lacunar infarction (TCLI) and the occurrence of the disease. Methods:Spiral CT scan and brain scan were performed in 39 cases of TCLI,and the clinical manifestation and CT findings were analyzed. Results:All the TCLI occurred in the region of internal capsule, appearing as small sheet or small round shadow with unclear margin. The lesion was located in double hemisphere in 11 cases and in unilateral hemisphere in 28 cases.Twenty-nine cases were accompanied by lenticular nucleus calcification in speckle, dot and sand-like high density shadow. Conclusions:The calcification in the basal ganglia is the main pathologic basis of TCLI.The injured uneven swollen cerebral tissue can cause displacement of calcification in the basal ganglia and press the vessel, which result in infarction of blood-supply cerebral tissue, and is the main pathologic factor for basal ganglia TCLI.
