Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the preserved amniotic membrane transplantation in treatment of pterygium.Methods: A total of 25 eyes with pterygium underwent transplantation with preserved amniotic membrane.The postoperative reaction,the graft vitality and the recurrence of pterygium were observed.Results: No acute rejection or blepharosynechic were observed.The grafts grew well,and only one recurrence was found during the follow-up of 1 year.Conclusions: Transplantation with the preserved amniotic membrane is safe and effective for treatment of pterygium.
