Abstract
Objective: To explore the value of detecting the circulating immune complex in diagnosis of neurocysticercosis. Methods: A double mono-clonal antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was used to detect the circulating antigens, antibodies and immune complex in 109 sera of neurocysticercosis. Results: In the 109 cases of neurocysticercosis, the positive rates of circulating antigens, antibodies and immune complex were 33.03%,68.81% and 47.71%,respectively.Twelve of the 52 cases with positive immune complex showed negative when tested for the antigens and antibodies separatedly. Conclusions: Detection of the specific immune complex may help to the diagnosis of neurocysticercosis.
