Loop electrosurgical excision procedure for treatment of cervical lesions: a report of 107 cases

Abstract
Objective: To observe the effect of loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) in treatment of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN).Methods: The clinical data of 107 cases of CIN received LEEP were analyzed retrospectively.Results: Eighty-three cases demonstrated coincident pathological results before and after LEEP (77.57%);4 cases aggravated,one of which proved to be cervical cancer;the pathological changes in 20 cases were not obvious.The cure rates were 95.19% and 97.12% six months and two years respectively after LEEP operation.Conclusions: LEEP is a highly effective and safe procedure for diagnosis and treatment of CIN.
