Abstract
Objective: To establish the end-to-side anastomosis model of the common carotid artery(CCA) in rat for simulating the operation model of vascular anastomosis. Methods: The end-to-side anastomosis model of left CCA and distal end of right CCA under the trachea tissue in 20 adult SD rat was established. The number of suture needle and anastomosis time were recorded. The anastomotic vessel and brain were stained using HE and 2,3,5-triphenyl tetrazolium chloride, respectively. Results: The end-to-side anastomosis model of CCA was established in rat,the successful rate of which was 100%.The number of suture needle was 7,and anastomosis time were 40±5 min, respectively. The patency rate of anastomosis was 100% after one month of anastomosis. The HE and 2,3,5-triphenyl tetrazolium chloride staining showed that the anastomosis healing was good, and brain had no cerebral ischemia. Conclusions: The blood vessel branch and nerve around the CCA should be protected during the process of model-making,the model can be used in the study of surgical treatment of moyamoya disease and vascular transplantation.
