Abstract
Objective: To establish a modified rat model of cerebral injury after cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR).Methods: The Waster rats were injected with 2% KCl quickly to induce breathing and cardiac arrest;then chest-abdomen snap-on cheirapsis anabiosis was used 6 min later;after 60 min,the animals were killed;the brain was retained with 10% formalin and pathematology examination was carried out.The kinetic changes of the electroencephalogram, electrocardiogram, pupil and blood pressure were observed during the whole experiment. Results: The breathing and heart beating of all the animals were arrested 30 seconds after quick injection of 2% KCl.After about 10 min anabiosis, the dextrocardiogram recovered, the electroencephalogram became flatten after the heart stopped beating, and it didn't recover 60 min after anabiosis. The arterial blood pressure descended quickly to 0 mmHg after the cardiac arrest and ascended to about 80-90 mmHg 10 min after anabiosis.Pathematology examination showed that the heart, lung and brain presented ischemic and anoxic damage 6 min after cardiac arrest, the heart and hung damage did not have obviously improvement and the brain damage was aggravated 60 min after anabiosis. Conclusions: Establishing modified rat model of cerebral injury after cardiopulmonary resuscitation is economic and practical, with the advantages of small wound and easy anabiosis. It is of great value for the study of cerebral injury after CPR.
