Value of thermal texture maps in diagnosis of breast mass

Objective: To evaluate thermal texture maps(TTM) in diagnosis of breast mass.Methods: Fifty-nine cases with breast tumor was determined by TTM,and the result was compared with that by color Doppler or Hr87-Ⅰ cold light source equipment.Results: Among the 59 cases,46 were proved to be benign tumors and 13 cases malignant tumors.And the detection rates of benign tumors were 95.65%by TTM,91.30% by color Doppler(P>0.05) and 80.43% by cold light source equipment(P<0.05),respectively.The detection rates of the malignant tumor were 92.31% by TTM,76.92% by color Doppler(P>0.05) and 46.15% by cold light source equipment(P<0.05),respectively.Conclusions: TTM is equivalent with color Doppler in diagnosis of breast tumor,and it is especially effective in differentiating benign and malignant breast tumors.
